Lilac Nachum is a world-known expert on issues related to globalization and multinational companies, and has been consulting, teaching and doing research on for three decades. Her consulting clients include the United Nations, the World Bank, the European Union, and the Istanbul Financial Center Committee, among others. Nachum is a frequent speaker on research seminars and conferences around the world, and her views on globalization and multinational companies have been featured in media outlets such as CNBC, FoxBusiness, CNN Tech, and Forbes blog, among others. She served on the Advisory Board of Humanlign, which offers consulting services for companies seeking expansion in Africa. In 2015 Nachum was nominated as the Director of the Center for the study of Russian multinational companies which is housed and sponsored by the Graduate School of Management (GSOM) of St. Petersburg University and works in collaboration with leading Russian MNEs and Russia governmental agencies. Since 2002 Nachum has been a Professor at The City University of New York. Prior to this position, she held senior positions at Cambridge University UK and the United Nations. In conjunction with these, she has been teaching on Executive and MBA programs at business schools around the world, holding at India School of Business, Ghent University, Danube Business School, Krems Austria, India School of Inspired Leadership, International School of Management Paris, Vienna University of Technology, Warsaw School of Economics, Sun Yat-sen University, China, and Baruch College's Executives MBA Program. Nachum courses include 'Global Business Strategy'; 'The Management of the Multinational Enterprise'; The Global Business Environment'; 'Emerging Markets'; 'Legal Issues in a Global World' and 'Global Strategic Partnerships'. Nachum is the author of two books (one of which appeared in Chinese), and numerous articles, book chapters and monographs. A notable focus of her work is the globalization of professional service companies, the topic of her two books. She is also a part time Senior Consultant, global advisory committee, Istanbul International Finance Center Project at The Istanbul Financial Center Initiative since March 2012, and a freelance consultant to the United Nations since 2001.
